What is the difference between the Baby Quasar PLUS, Quasar MD PLUS and Pure Rayz devices?
All three devices have the same four wavelengths, light output, and treatment. The Pure Rayz is made of plastic. The Quasar MD PLUS and Baby Quasar PLUS are premium devices made of medical grade aluminum. The Quasar MD has a larger head than the Baby Quasar, so you can treat a larger area and cut down your overall treatment time.
What is the difference between the Clear Rayz, Quasar Baby Blue, and Quasar MD Blue devices?
The Clear Rayz is for active inflammatory acne. This device uses blue light to kill acne-causing bacteria and red light to heal existing breakouts and reduce inflammation and is made of plastic.
The Baby Blue and Quasar MD Blue use blue light to kill acne-causing bacteria and prevent breakouts. These are premium devices made of medical grade aluminum. The Quasar MD Blue has a larger head than the Baby Blue, so you can treat a larger area and cut down your overall treatment time.
Why do you have to move the device instead of leaving it in one spot? By moving the device in either back and forth or circular motions, you ensure that the different wavelengths cover all areas of your skin.
I get Botox or fillers. Can I use the device? Will it melt my fillers?
After injections including Botox or fillers, you should wait two weeks before treating the same area with a Quasar device. This will give the injection or filler time to settle. After two weeks, you may resume treatments in the area you received the injection or filler. The devices will not break down or melt your fillers.
Will it harm my eyes? Can I go directly over my eyes with the device?
The light is very bright and can cause discomfort if you look at it directly. There are no clinical studies to support that the devices will harm your eyes, however, keep your eyes closed when treating around your eyes and do not move the device directly over your eyelids. We include a complimentary pair of goggles with each device for your comfort.
How many areas should I treat?
It is up to you to choose the areas you would like to treat. You should treat any areas where you have fine lines, wrinkles or acne. On page four of your user manual, there is a diagram showing common areas of concern. The size of an area is about the size of your palm.
Can I use the device every day?
More is not necessarily better with light therapy. Use the device as recommended and adjust according to your experience. For some, using the Quasar one or two days per week will produce the desired result. For others, a full five days of treatment per week will produce the best results. If you overuse the device, you may experience red or dry skin and could lessen the effectiveness of your treatments.
My skin is red and dry. Why?
If you are using the device five days a week and your skin is red and/or excessively dry, you may have sensitive skin. Reduce your treatments to two-to-three days per week and make sure you are using a good moisturizer after treatment.
Can I use topical products before Quasar treatments?
Quasar devices should be used on clean dry skin. If you choose to use an anti-aging serum or gel, apply and let the serum or gel dry completely before starting treatments with the device. Always perform a test on the inside of your arm before you apply products or light to your face. Do not use any heavy or greasy creams or lotions before treatments as these can cause a barrier between the skin and light penetration. However, be sure to moisturize after treatments.
Some of the LED Bulbs appear to be not working. Is there a problem with my device?
There are several infrared LEDs that will appear to be off, even though they are working. You cannot see infrared light with the naked eye. Please refer to your user manual for the correct LED Light Pattern for your device. If you feel your device is not working properly, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist you.
Can I use the device in another country?
All devices come with an 110v to 240v power supply adequate for the United States and international use. You will need to add the appropriate adapter for the country you are in.
Can I use Red and Blue light in the same day?
Do not treat with red and blue light in the same day. Red light is a vasodilator and blue is a vasoconstrictor. If you use them in the same day, they will essentially cancel each other out. Use red and blue light on alternating days.

Will QuasarMD honor a discount code for a device I previously purchased?
QuasarMD may honor website promotional discounts at their discretion for purchases made within TWO (2) weeks of the promotion start date. Free Healing Rayz promotion will only be honored if no discount code was applied to the original order. Purchase must have been made through QuasarMD.com only. What is QuasarMD's price adjustment policy?
If we permanently reduce the price of an item you purchased, we will adjust the price at your request within 14 days of purchase date. Please note that we can only make one adjustment per item. We will refund the price difference to your original form of payment. Price adjustments are only applicable to products purchased on QuasarMD.com. Please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist you.
Free shipping applies to U.S. orders (excludes weekends and holidays). Orders may take up to four (4) business days to process and ship.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once a package is picked up and scanned by the carrier, the shipping and delivery status is no longer within our control; we are unable to replace missing or stolen packages. Please reach out directly to the carrier for missing or stolen packages.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy and safety of the shipping address provided. QuasarMD will not be held liable for incorrectly entered shipping information or packages left, stolen or missing from an unreliable or unsafe shipping addresses. Please consider shipping to an address where someone is always present to receive the delivery, i.e. workplace or a friend's/family member's address. QuasarMD reserves the right to ship a package Signature Required if the order contains more than one item (to avoid stolen packages).
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are shipped via DHL Express at customer's cost. QuasarMD has no control over shipping speed once DHL picks up the package (packages may be delayed due to COVID-19). QuasarMD is not responsible for delayed or late packages handled by DHL. Please note that for countries outside the U.S., import duties and taxes may be levied once your order reaches your country. Charges and customs holding times may vary depending on the value of the package and the final destination address. We try out best to keep charges as low as possible, however we are unable to control or predict the final charges. If you need to pay import duties and taxes, the courier will contact you for more information ahead of delivery. If delivery is refused and the package is returned, shipping cost will not be refunded. Any fees, taxes and duties to return the package will be deducted from refund.
